Update

looks like both 'kayak (other pc)' and 'test-xp (main)' is unstable and will need to be rebuilt. 'test-xp2 (test env)' is active at the moment. xp2 is a clean env, so it fast and stable, but lacks the apps/tools. i've ended up installing some basic tools so it's functional. trillian is back on, email pickup is only for the main pop3.

i've started using azureus, which seems to be ok and doesn't slow the machine down too much. shareaza might go back on, but that's a monster of an app which seems to kill my link and machine.

I still need to install the wireless-g DSL router, but the wireless-b AP which seems to work OK. p2p seems work between a USB-b and a PCMCIA-g. so far so good with 802.11b/g. i'm happy.

my friend has returned from the US, but now seems to be missing from IM. I wonder what has happened?

during my spare time, i installed Windows 2003 Std Server into Virtual PC (under test-xp), luckily the vm is portable, i haven't had a chance to play with it in xp2.

here's a new one for me. i'm using a new browser SlimBrowser, i was using Avant Browser before. Both seems to be similiar. check them out!

i'm currently playing .. HALO (beta) for the PC, feels similiar to unreal2 (or that other game.. err can't remember it's name) ? can't remember, but Halo crashed on me whilst about to go underground to find the Halo Control Centre. bummer dude (but that was around 3am), so maybe it was a good thing).

Installing WinNT4 workstation & NT4 Server to do some testing / training in Virtual PC. Having problems installing ie6a as it's asking for sp6a? huh? i have just installed sp6a, but ie6a will still not install. hmmm. Back to the scratch board.

oh yeah before i forget, did some ICQing with a good friend last night (let's call the friend 'B'), real late too (1am-2am). had a nice chat, B was not doing anything but killing time before having to cook. B is in the US atm looking for work, in NY i think. it was 1pm for B. B sounds abit down but I'm sure B will be ok as soon as the work searching comes to light.

lost all of my CDROMs in XP1 but still working on XP2. wonder why? removed Nero but still did not work. hmm. ended up using XP2 for most of the day. XP1 kept rebooting before, during and after burning at random, most annoying. Lost a few CDRs today - RIP! anyone need a few coasters? :)

finally went back to XP1 and did some soul searching. re-installed Nero, still the same. Arghh! but then started removing any s/w that used ASPI or CDR/W. finally found the offending s/w it was CloneCD. huh? been working fine for all these months suddenly it turned rouge and hostile as a matter of fact.

CloneCD is out for the moment, Nero back in and all is sweet, so far. Finally managed to do some CDR to clean up the HDDs.

completed testing WinConnect Server. it has a few problems, but the Term Serv works better than the default WinXP Pro Remote Desktop as it does not take control of the machine.
